Islamic Fundamentalist Hamas Party Leader Ismail Haniya gave a televised speech on the 12th. "Our Victory is Near, Gaza will not fall", he said. As the Isreali Army encircles the Gaza City, the Palistinain ruling party revealed it's aim to continue battling.

In contrast, armistice negotiations "will not stop", Egypt said.

At the end of last year, after Isreal began it's assult on Gaza, Mr. Haniya took underground refuge. Where he makes his speeches remains unknown.

In Gaza, Palistinain President Abbas was forced into exile by Hamas in 2007. Hamas's rule lead by Haniya continues.
